Franklin County School Nutrition Services

will provide an opportunity to pick up lunch and breakfast at a drive-thru meal service for children 18 and under. These meals will be available at no cost for anyone 18 and under regardless of what school they attend. No paperwork is required. Children must be present in the vehicle in order for meals to be distributed. Meals will be provided based on the number of children present. This program will be solely for the pickup of meals. Meals will not be consumed on site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site and utilizing social distancing once meals have been distributed.

This service will be provided March 23, 2020 thru March 31, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Broadview Elementary – back drive thru

Clark Memorial – drive thru by kitchen

Cowan Elementary – front drive thru

Decherd Elementary – back drive thru

Franklin County High School – front drive thru

Huntland – back drive thru

North Lake Elementary – front drive thru

Rock Creek Elementary - back drive thru

Sewanee Elementary - front drive thru

Meals will not be distributed at North Middle School or South Middle School.

Starting April 6, Tennessee’s six PBS stations— WNPT Nashville, East Tennessee PBS, WCTE Upper Cumberland, WKNO Memphis, West TN PBS, and Chattanooga WTCI— will deliver two hours of programming with high-quality instructional content from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST. Four hours of content will also be streamed overnight, which viewers can watch live or record.

 ACT Academy

A free online resource available to schools, parents, and students. ACT Academy provides personalized practice and can be used by students at all grade levels, including kindergarten. ACT Academy also contains ACT practice tests with feedback on areas of strength and weakness, and customized lessons based on practice test results.    

 


 

College Advising Services Still Available

 

 Mrs. Rabb will be available to help students with their college planning needs while school is not in session. She will be meeting with students individually via zoom conference call. Mrs. Rabb will also be hosting webinars to walk students through the rest of the planning process.

Kindergarten Registration - April 1, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Kindergarten Registration has been postponed. Will supply information as soon as possible about rescheduling.

 


 

Registration for the ESP Summer Program

March 3 - registration deadline has been extended until further notice

Your child does not have to be currently enrolled in ESP to

participate in the Summer Program. New registrations are accepted.

Summer registration packets will be available at each of the

ESP sites beginning March 3, 2020.

Registration Packets are also available at the FCBOE and online under Department - Extended School Program

Please turn in your completed registration packet to the Board of Education or fax registration forms to 931/967-7832

Enrollment numbers are being calculated following the previous March 27th

deadline to determine which ESP sites will be open for the summer.

(A minimum of 15 completed registrations required per site.)

Not finalized, but based on the numbers received from each location,

the following ESP sites are close to having the required 15 to open their ESP site for the summer:

Broadview, Clark Memorial, Decherd, North Lake, & Rock Creek.
